Jim Tangney
Facility Director
Jim is a Wyoming native. His training and experience in the U.S. Navy allowed him to obtain a position as an Electrical Engineer with Raytheon Service Company, providing technical services to the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington.

Jim’s first position at NCH was Hospital Construction Liaison. In 2010 he accepted the position of Facilities Manager, and is now the Facility Director.

Heather Goddard
Human Resources Director/Compliance Manager
Heather was raised in western Wyoming and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration in 2012, from the University of Phoenix. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration program at Capella University.

Heather moved to Lusk in 2006 and worked at Lusk State Bank; originally as a Bank Teller and then moved into compliance and working as the BSA officer.

Heather accepted the position of Human Resources Director here at NCH in June of 2012.

Dana J. Way,
RHIT, HIM Director
Dana was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario & raised mostly in St. Cloud, MN, which she considers her home. She has also lived in Scottsdale, AZ, Las Vegas NV, & Sioux Falls, SD. My favorite color is purple & my favorite sports team is the MN Vikings, I love to watch football! I enjoy cooking, reading, motorcycle riding, and traveling. I am a bit of a daredevil & will try almost anything once! I have a beautiful niece & nephew, both of which I absolutely adore!

Sheryl Pettey
Revenue Cycle
Sheryl was born and raised in California. She attended Maric Medical College in the early 90’s and studied Administration, Billing and Collections.  She has been in the Medical field since 1992, where she has worked as a Billing & Collections Manager, Practice Administrator and Pay for Performance Analyst.  

Sheryl moved to Lusk with her husband Dave and two daughters Kristen and Rishell in 2009. She has worked in the Business Office at Niobrara Community Hospital since, 2009.

Marilyn Nelson
Staff Accountant
Marilyn is a lifetime Wyoming native and a long-time Niobrara native.  She and her husband raised their two children in this county and now enjoy the opportunity to expose their four grandchildren to the unique qualities of Niobrara County.  She holds an Associate of Science Degree in Accounting from Eastern Wyoming College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming.   Marilyn was hired in the Finance Department in 2013.  She is the Staff Accountant for Niobrara Community Hospital.  Marilyn is committed to this facility.  She believes in the importance of growing and stabilizing this facility to best meet the needs of the community.   

Dana Davidson
Radiology Director
Dana was born and raised in Yarmouth, Maine, the oldest of 5 children. After high school he received his Associate of Arts degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts prior to going to The Cheshire Hospital School of Radiologic Technology, graduating in 1975. After a brief stint at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Bellows Falls, Vermont, he moved back to the Portland, Maine area and worked there for 25 years, including the last 6 years at Maine Medical Center in the CT department of Maine’s premier trauma center. During that time he raised 3 sons. In 2002 he moved to Calais, Maine where he met and married his current wife, Mary, and inherited her 4 children. Dana spent 11 years as the Director of Radiology at Calais Regional Hospital, where he was a part of building a new hospital and designing a radiology department. Mary and Dana moved west in November of 2013 to Glendive, Montana, where they spent 20 months before accepting the Director’s position here at Niobrara Community Hospital in July of 2015. Dana is an avid cyclist, music enthusiast, and computer geek, glad to be out West to explore all aspects of the western history he loved growing up.

Michelle Skillings
–Chief Nursing Officer
Michelle is a professional Registered Nurse who has 20+ years as a CNO/Director of Nursing. Her experience is in Acute and Long Term Care facilities that range from: large, small, urban and rural (critical access hospital). Michelle is a graduate of the St. Louis Community College where she obtained her Associates of Nursing Diploma. From there she graduated with her BSN from Webster University. In 2007 Michelle obtained her Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. Michelle is has her CPHQ certification in Quality and brings extensive experience in long term care and Critical Access Hospitals. She feels that focusing on high-quality patient care, patient safety and remaining an advocate for both patients and staff is an integral part of providing care at rural facilities.
